What needs a paid plan
Section titled “What needs a paid plan”Builder and higher plans include the following.
| Feature | Plan that counts |
|---|---|
| In projects: publishing, custom domains, the Code tab, export to GitHub, and hiding the devlo badge | Your personal plan |
| Paid models in the model picker | Your personal plan in projects; the organization’s plan in repository chats |
| Send Email in automations | The organization’s plan |
Whose plan applies
Section titled “Whose plan applies”Projects use your personal plan and credits, on Subscription in the sidebar. Every chat you own counts toward that plan’s project limit, including repository chats.
Reviews, coding runs, automations, and repository chats use the plan and credits of their organization, on Settings > Subscription.
A new organization uses the personal plan and credits of the person who installed devlo, so everyone’s work in it spends that person’s credits. To give the organization its own plan and credits, an owner or admin selects New subscription on Settings > Subscription.
How credits work
Section titled “How credits work”Credits pay for devlo’s work. Bigger tasks use more, as do models with more $ marks in the model picker. These use credits:
- Code reviews, including
/review, and quick fixes - Learning from merged pull requests that devlo reviewed
@devloairequests and coding runs from issues, Jira, and Slack- Automation runs, including scheduled ones
- Messages in projects, repository chats, and the Assistant
Plan credits reset on your billing date and don’t roll over. Any plan can buy more at $1 = 100 credits, and purchased credits never expire.
When you run out
Section titled “When you run out”When your balance reaches zero, new work doesn’t start and scheduled automations are skipped. devlo tells you where you asked. To keep going, buy credits, turn on auto-reload, upgrade, or wait for your billing date.
See and reduce usage
Section titled “See and reduce usage”For an organization, AI Usage shows credit use by repository and member, and Contribution > Activity lists each successful run with its credits. To use fewer credits:
- Pick a model with fewer
$marks. - Keep tasks small and specific.
- Comment
/reviewonly when you need a new review. - Limit automations to the repositories and events you need.
Enterprise
Section titled “Enterprise”Enterprise isn’t self-serve. Contact sales for Enterprise, security reviews, and data processing agreements.
