# Throughput

> How many pull requests your team opens and merges, how much code changes, and what kind of work it is.

The **Throughput** tab on **Analytics** shows how much your team opens, merges, and changes, and what kind of work it is.

## What it helps you do

See whether output is steady or dropping, and how work splits between features, fixes, maintenance, and security. Spot people who open large, hard-to-review PRs.

## What’s measured

| Metric | How it’s measured |
| ---------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Opened**, **Merged** | Pull requests opened or merged in the range. |
| **Code Changes** | Lines added plus lines deleted in merged PRs. |
| **Commits** | Commits in merged PRs. |
| **PR Types** | One chart per type, such as **New Features**. devlo classifies a PR when it reviews or creates it. |

The **Pull Requests** list shows each PR with its type and size.

## Insights and badges

The **Insights** table compares members on **PRs Merged**, **Avg PR Size**, **Merge Rate**, and **Work Mix** (how their PRs split by type). Badges such as **High output** flag people who stand out; [use them carefully](/analytics/#insights-and-badges).
